RVSP Full Form
(Reverse Vertical Seismic Profiling)
Reverse Vertical Seismic Profiling (RVSP) is a unique type of seismic reflection survey which produces high resolution images of the shallow subsurface to a maximum depth of approximately 600 feet. The RVSP method is a modification of Vertical Seismic Profiling (VSP), a common subsurface imaging technique used in the oil and gas industry to obtain detailed images of complex geologic structures (i.e. mapping the flanks of salt domes, etc.).
